Bitten (Once Bitten, Twice Shy #1) Reviews
I really like the look of the book's cover. It pulled me in. Katherine, a 16 yo from Iowa, is bitten by a wolf while out exploring the grounds of an abandoned house with a group of girls. This is her story of adjusting to pack life.
Bastien is pack alpha and will do anything to protect his pack. He helps rescue Katherine from an unknown enemy, only to kidnap her afterwards. I liked the action and angst in the book. I wanted to know what would happen next, even if it meant going to work with very ...more

The only thing that bothered me from this book was while I was reading I caught some errors. A he where there should of been a she. A word whose spelling is close to what the author actually intended to use. Other than all of that, I don't think I have laughed or cried so many times while reading. I absolutely loved his book. I do have to say I wish Katherine wasn't so whiney, but then again she is 16. I would recommend this book to anyone.
the story was very well written. not a fan of not first person books. but the story was great. couple of emotional moments.. hoping there's another book. Katherine parents did not die. and she has no idea.... Bastian is now the head alpha... lots of questions still left unanswered. why is Katherine not healing like everyone else. pneumonia? ? lots of story left to be shared
2.5 stars. Ok, this is aimed at teens who can handle some blood and guts, but it too young for YA. It is for kids, she is 16 and he is 18. They’ve been tossed into a terrible situation and they react just as an fictional teenagers do, and the angst is so exaggerated and OTT. Now for some odd reason, I just kept reading it. With some discipline, a good copy editor, and please, some honest beta readers and just a little less teen angst, I might have bought book 2. But sorry, I can't handle any mor ...more
Wow, I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was really brilliant.
I feel like all the bad things happened at the beginning of the book, and the rest of Bitten was mainly about fixing/dealing with the problems, with a few little issues throughout.
Didn't really end on a cliff-hanger but I am definitely going to be reading the next one.
Very clean read, not much of a plot. Even though labeled as 'Young Adult' story kept my attention. Fast read.
