Second Draft (Men with Wood #1) Reviews
Love me a possessive "mine" alpha, and Carter was all that without the arsehole.
I really liked the story and characters, but I don't feel like it was ever acknowledged by anyone that what happened between the h and H's brother was rape. I understand that given Layla's background she may have had some blurred lines in her head, but Travis new he raped her which we only know from a guilty expression. He also makes an off-color joke about practically having to force her into it. I was content with how the book ended for him. Also a pedophile seducing and impregnating a four ...more
I can't even tell you how excited I am for you all to read this Story!
Chantel definitely knows how to do sweet and Alpha in ways that keep you aching for more.
Carter and Layla are such a a prime example that second chances are worth fighting for and can survive anything given the chance.
Not giving anything away but hold on tight because there is no stopping this roller coaster of emotions once the first page is flipped!!!

The blurb sucked me in, once I started this book and saw how the pregnancy played out I started to question whether or not this book was for me but I soldiered on and quickly fell hard for these characters. Carter was that magical perfect blend of gentleman and protective alpha, controlled yet not controlling. He knew when to push and when to hold when it came to Layla.
Layla, she was a bit down at times an I wanted to shake her an make her look at what she had right in front of her but Carter ma ...more
I just can't do the H's brother's baby thing. Not a spoiler...it is in the blurb
I HATE sibling sharing, but this one intrigues me...
