The Heart Forger (The Bone Witch #2) Reviews
Buddy Read with Melanie <3 <3 <3! Inhale reading & LOVING every minute of it! Full blown Necromancy, one of the BEST sibling relationships, a flying dragon, vivid imagery, and a MC walking the line between good & evil! I need all of Rin Chupeco's books *extended hands* :)
UPDATE———> this was EVERYTHING & MORE than I could’ve ever asked for from a sequel!!! RTC on LAIR OF BOOKS (Link is in the bio)
It says March 20th but I saw this at my local bookstore yesterday when I went to by To Kill a Kingdom, so I guess the store went with the original March 1st release date?
This is one of those books where I think I will need to skim/re-read the first book again to remember what happened. Because I read the first book well over a year ago and so everything is a bit of a blur.
While I liked the original blue cover, I think I like this new gray-white-red themed one more. And thankfully, it s ...more

As the second installment the this series, I can say it is better than the first. All of my issues with the first one
which wasn't manywere improved in this one. Tea's character development, the expansion of the world and the inclusion of relationships that will possibly impact not only the main character and her choices, but the events in the story made this an unputdownable read. The romance is turned up a notch, the classic hate-to-love trope and I was here fo ...more

Yet here I sit.. unable to come up with an adequate synopsis myself. So let's just cut to the chase--If you are reading this review, then you have more than likely already read The Bone Witch. You know the clifhanger. You know where the story is headed. You know the reasons you are pick ...more
An intriguing tale that picks up where the last book left off an continues to leave you wanting more. Flipping back and forth from the past to the present through telling a character only known as the bard of the journey that led her to current events. Tea's story is one of twists and turns that often leave her as surprised as the reader. Her loyal friends often question her motives and fear that her dark powers are taking over. Tea must prove to her friends and herself that she has a grander pu ...more

I don't know if I can wait a whole year for the next book.
I loved The Bone Witch so The Heart Forger was high up on my wish list for 2018 releases and I'm happy to say it surpassed all expectations. It took all the things I loved about the first book and then ramped them up to an even higher level, this book was much faster paced, had far more action, lots of twists and some fantastic monsters. I know some people didn't like the the slower pace of the first book but I thought that Rin Chupeco laid a brilliant foundation and helped to create a fascinati ...more
