This is a cute and adventurous YA story and I really enjoyed it.
Six years ago, Maddie, the daughter of a secret-service agent, and Logan, the son of the President of the United States were both ten and best friends. Then, something happened and Maddie moved to Alaska with her father.

this was quite a short book, so i will keep my review brief, as well. this was good for what it was - it was a quick, enjoyable survival story filled with action, adventure, and romance. whilst it had its highs (exciting premise, easy writing, decent pacing), it also has some lows (shallow character depth, some unrealistic moments). even though i didnt think this was perfect, i would still recommend it to anyone looking for an effortless, entertaining story!
The first thing I will say is that this book is pitched as Girl Saves Boyand Girl want to kill the boy and then save him and its set in Alaska and it's going to be really angsty and action-packed but,,, it really wasn't that.

Before they moved to the middle of nowhere in Alaska, Maddie had a friend, Logan—the President’s only son—but he has long since proven that he was never really Maddie’s friend. Now Logan is in danger, though, and if Maddie wants to hurt Logan for all the h ...more
Review to come!
The Gallagher Girls will always hold a special place in my heart, and I expected this book to bring the same level of light-heartedness, fun, and funnies. Instead, I got some confusion, some super unbelievable things (lol, even more unbelievable than a spy school for fifteen year olds), and Alaska - a LOT of Alaska.
To continue on the Alaska comment, I feel like this book could have been about Alaska and that's it. Like, it was constantly talking about the state. Anything going wrong? Let's blame ...more
