Twice Bitten (Argeneau #27) Reviews
My beloved smother - the paranormal version of why you shouldn’t helicopter parent.
I liked this one, thought the romance was good. Elspeth was a bit blah, as was Wyatt, but they worked together. I was stunned with Elspeth’s mother and her actions. I was very glad that she got called out on her actions and forced to stop. I really liked Elspeth’s friendship with Wyatt’s grandmother, wish that she would have been brought in on the secret of Immortals. But who really stole the book for me was Gigi. I loved him, loved his unique place in the Immortal world. I really hope that he f ...more

I am not usually a fan of paranormal. However, I don't consider vampire (or immortal) books to be paranormal.
I know. I know. They are...but I still like them. So, work with me here and can we all just pretend that this title isn't paranormal? Thanks, I appreciate it.
Elspeth and Wyatt met years ago, but she doesn't remember him. Although, the reason for that is a lot deeper than a situation where a woman decides to ignore a bad date...as i ...more
I love Lynsay Sands, and the world she weaves is just getting better and better. Twice bitten is the 27th book in her Argeneau Series. Like her other books, Twice Bitten is fabulous. Even if you haven’t read the previous books you won’t be lost. This can be read as a complete standalone. Lynsay Sands has a real talent for making you fall in love with previous characters who pop up in later books. And in this newest installment our two MC’s, Elspeth and Wyatt, are sure to keep you smiling.
This was a really good story. I liked both Elspeth and Wyatt and enjoyed their story.
Elspeth is an immortal that is 142 years old and just now getting out on her own. Elspeth has tried to gain her freedom before but her mother is very controlling, a lot more than Elspeth realized until she moved out on her own. Elspeth got a teaching job in Canada and moved away from her family but with 6 weeks, her mother shows up for a "surprise visit" and wanting to rule her life again.

I really loved this book. It was fun seeing the women working as a team to protect Elspeth. I loved Wyatt and Elspeth. I was a bit surprised by the villain's appearance, but other than that a good story.
This book was hilarious! So good, and a lot going on-I wonder how it meshes with the timelines of the previous books, since the barn ambush was mentioned in this book. Also, there are a lot of ways to try to kill someone without being sure if it was actually a murder attempt or an accident, and fire has happened at least twice in this series, now, that I can remember.
Argeneau #27, What I love about this series is that they can be read as a stand alone. Even with as big as this family is and all the characters where it would be easy to get lost in all the characters Sands is really good about that in this one there were only four, five extra Argeneau couples, including my favorite couple Marguerite and Julius, as well as some family members who haven't found their life mates yet, and a couple of humans; despite the large cast of characters it's so ...more
