Murder Notes (Lilah Love #1) Reviews
I don't know where to begin with this review. I kind of just want to say it was AMAZING so go forth and read it ASAP (or rather in March, when it's published *lol*). I can't believe I was so late to the game with this author. Every single book I have read since I discovered her (four) have been outstanding and this one was no different in that respect. I have no idea how the author expects me to just sit here patiently waiting for book two??
So deets...this wasn't really a romance book. I would ...more
Murder Notes was unlike anything I’ve ever read from Lisa Renee Jones, and I’ve read almost all of her books. This compelling and captivating story was more thriller than romance. FBI profiler Lilah Love is on the hunt for a serial killer that she’s not quite convinced is a serial killer. Her quest to capture the perp ties into a traumatic event from her past and she finds herself surrounded by people she’s not sure she can trust. Which isn’t really saying anything as she doesn’t trust easily. ...more

2 stars. This book was not good for me. I have read and enjoyed most of Lisa Renee Jones's books, but this one was an exception. I knew this wasn't a romance going in, that it was more of a crime thriller, so that was outside of my usual genre. But since I have never met a LRJ book that I didn't like, I figured I would still like it. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
This book is about Lilah Love, an FBI criminal profiler, investigating a serial killer in her hometown in the Hamptons, where her dad is ...more
4 Murder Girl Stars
This book is one of those that you will despise if you are a pick up and read for an hour person. This is a book you will enjoy if you read it cover to cover. This is a suspense book with some casual naked bits. This book has you questioning who is good, who is bad, who is lying, who is innocent. This ends in a huge cliffhanger that makes you want the next book. This book is a very detailed suspense novel with a lot of characters to keep track of. I think there was a lot of ...more
In Lisa Renee Jones's Murder Notes, the first installment in the Lilah Love romantic suspense series, this tale would give you goosebumps and chilled all over. For Lilah Love, a FBI profiler for Los Angeles, it all started with a chilling case of a cold-blooding killing on the beach. And when she's been redirected to head back home to New York for a connected case, she wasn't looking forward to receive a lukewarm welcome. On the beat, she had to contend with the NYPD and her ex-boyfriend Kane Me ...more
Classic Lisa Renee Jones' writing, if you have read any of her previous books, you know what I m talking about. It's captivating and thrilling with gradation of tension as it build up towards unfolding of the plot...and then you have still long way to go...
i'm keeping this short and short LOL as i am way overdue with this...

"The devil is in the details."
Being a Criminal Minds addict and an armchair profiler I enjoyed the hell out of reading Murder Notes. The story is told in Lilah's POV, and there's no denying she's badass. But she's also damaged. Her demons are chasing her and her nightmares are worse than the bloody crime scenes she works as an FBI profiler. In true Lisa Renee Jones style, she weaves a web of secrets and lies leading to an epic finale that we can only imagine in these early stages. As she lays ...more
