Consort of Secrets (The Witch's Consorts #1) Reviews
Ever since Reverse Harem Month, I've been keeping an eye on the subgenre. There's something extra delightfully naughty about not having to choose between your favourite types of heroes. You can have the bad boy, the nice guy, the dark and handsome figure... It may not be common in real life, but romance allows us to explore our fantasies, and having a group to give you the love you desire (physically and emotionally) is actually a rather nice one.
And you know what? This was a rather nice reverse ...more

Thoughts: Holy crap that was intense! Waiting for the next book is going to leave me antsy. There are so many twists and turns, with a huge shocker near the end that I ended up getting trapped in the book. Couldn’t put it down if my life depended on it, and thankfully I didn’t have to. But I ended up with a huge book hang-over, I couldn’t stop thinking about the play for pow ...more
it was a really good read :) i recommend it if you want an easy going read :) =)
I have read a few reverse harem stories, but never really sought them out. CONSORT OF SECRETS sounded intriguing so I figured it was worth a shot.
Rose is a witch and it's time to take a consort and gain her magic or lose it forever. The problem is, is that her family and her betrothed are hiding things from her. Not only that, but she is drawn to her childhood friends more than the man she is expected to spend the rest of her life with.
I enjoyed the storyline. There was a lot of mystery involved ...more
Consort of Secrets is a story about witches with some influences from our beloved fairy tales, but Eva Chase managed to create a unique world from that and enthralls the readers into falling deeper into it.
This story is written in a way that gives one such a smooth read, and by the time you realized it you’re nearly done with the book. The fact that I read this in one sitting could also prove how the story is engaging and it flows so well. But to be honest ...more
The book was okay and easy read but it switches between characters points of view and it’s hard to establish the main character doing so
I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
The main reason why I requested a copy of this title was my newfound obsession with everything reverse harem. I didn’t even stop to consider my previous experiences with the author writing, her style.
The thing is that if I purely look at the story from the technical parts then it’s pretty great. The writing is so much neater than it was in Dragon’s guard (the other book I read from Eva Chase) and the plot builds along cleaner lines a ...more
